HAWL has a created a team for the Hillsborough County Bar Association 2020 5k Pro Bono River Run and we want YOU to join our team!
The 5k Pro Bono River Run will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020, at 10:30 a.m. Because of the significant development along the prior race route, the run is entirely along the Tampa River Walk, beginning and ending at Water Works Park.
So, what does Pro Bono have to do with a 5k run? The mission of the HCBA 5k Pro Bono River Run is simple: Get the 350 participants in the 5k run to collectively pledge at least 5,000 pro bono service hours as part of their participation in the event. Over the past 10 years, the event has generated the performance of more than 17,000 hours of pro bono service in our community. To help the HCBA exceed this 5,000 hour pledge in 2020, the HCBA will be offering a reduced registration fee of $25 for every run participant who pledges at least 25 hours of pro bono service within a one year period. Help our community and get a discount?? What a deal!
HAWL has created a 2020 5k Pro Bono run team for our members, sustaining members, strategic partners, and supporters to help the HCBA achieve their pro bono mission together as an organization. So, whether you run, jog, walk, or do a little bit of everything, please consider joining the HCBA's 5k Run team through the eventbrite link below! We welcome all ages, genders, and skill levels. The race is also chipped to track race times for the competitive at heart. Our 2020 HAWL 5k run team goal is to have the largest number of participants pledge the most number of hours!
With proof of your pro bono pledge and race registration, every HAWL 5k run team member will receive a piece of HAWL swag to wear on race day so we can identify and support each other throughout the race! If you have any questions about the HAWL 2020 Pro Bono 5k run team, please contact Lexie Larkin at email@example.com or Dani Carrion at firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to seeing you on race day!
